Patient Choice is an innovative approach to health care that emphasizes informed choices for employees and cost management for employers. This cost-saving, network-based plan option that can be paired with any WPS group plan and is available to groups in southeastern Wisconsin exclusively through WPS.
How does Patient Choice work?
Under Patient Choice, health care providers organize themselves into groups called “Care Systems.” Patient Choice divides these Care Systems into two cost tiers, using data that ranks quality, efficiency, and total costs. You fund coverage for your employees at the most cost-effective tier. Employees are free to choose any Care System—but contribute more toward their premium if they select a Care System in the higher cost tier.

WPS partners with the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) to offer Patient Choice in the Milwaukee area.
