Remittance Advice

Home MAC Provider Medicare Areas EDI

Shortly following transition, an issue occurred resulting in providers not receiving their remittance advices. This issue was resolved, and providers are currently receiving their remittance advices. Any provider affected by this situation should contact our provider call center to obtain a copy of any remittance advice they did not receive.

A number of providers still have not notified WPS Medicare how they want to receive their electronic remittance files (i.e. either directly or through an approved clearinghouse). WPS Medicare receives these remittance files from the shared system but does not have an avenue to send them to the provider. Once providers notify us, we will set them up to receive their electronic remittance files by the method of their choice.

WPS EDI staff is available to help individual providers with the PC-Ace software and uploading of claims.

WPS Medicare is aware of a couple of instances in which providers received a remittance advice for another provider. In each instance, WPS Medicare contacted the affected providers and corrected the information. We have taken steps to ensure that this situation does not recur.
