Connectivity/EDI Testing

WPS-Medicare offers the following types of connections:

  • Network Data Mover (NDM)
  • Asynchronous-through Connect Enterprise

In order to test your selected billing software with WPS-Medicare, the following requirements must be met:  

  • A connection is needed in order to send your test files.  WPS Medicare does not provide connection software.  Please see Connectivity Options for Batch Billing for information on the available connectivity options.
  • If you select VisionShare, you must have a connection with them in order to transmit files.  If you do not, please contact VisionShare at 1-888-895-2649.  If you select the Connect Mailbox option, you must have a phone line and a modem in order to transmit files. 
  • For new connections, regardless of which connectivity option you choose, the following forms must be submitted once testing has been completed:
    Data Transmission Questionnaire for Electronic Media Claims or Electronic Remittance Advices and the EDI Enrollment Form
  • Once a software vendor passes HIPAA testing with WPS Medicare, we will only accept additional test files for that vendor if the vendor is experiencing problems in production.
