Expired Passwords

If your password has expired, please use the below steps to guide you through the password change process:

  • Enter the data in capital letters.
  • The new password must be an alphanumeric combination of eight characters.  The first character must be a letter and the use of one of the following symbols is allowed: @ # $.
  • The new password can not consist of words in the dictionary, proper names or parts of proper names.
  • You will be prompted for the password at two different points within this password change process.
  • The first time you are prompted for the password, you will enter your current password.
  • The second time you are prompted for the password, the password must be entered in the following format/combination:
    Your current password/your new password/your new password again.

For example: If  DHO@9L2C is your current password and you choose ELC18UMV for your new password, the password combination for the second password prompt would be:
DHO@9L2C/ELC18UMV/ELC18UMV 
(This is an example only, please do not use either of these as your permanent password).

Please note: For this password change to take effect, the passwords must be separated by the forward slashes.  The forward slash is located on the same key as the question mark on your keyboard.

Directions for Changing the Password:

  1. Enter Logon ID
    Enter your UHAR Mailbox/Logon ID here.
  2. You should then see “Enter password”. 
    Enter your current password 

    After entering your current password, you will receive the following message (as shown in the example below):
     Login Failed: [12] Logon attempt rejected, password expired. 
     Enter logon id:
  3. Re-enter your UHAR Mailbox/Logon ID at “Enter logon id:”
  4. You will then see “Enter password”.  Here you will enter the combination of the current password and the new password you created as.
    You current password/your new password/your new password again

    If your password was changed successfully, you will see the message:
    **  LOGON SUCCESSFUL  **
