Additional/Re-establish Logon IDs
Requests for additional Logon IDs or to re-establish Logon IDs that are no longer active, must be received in the following manner and can be faxed to the EDI Department at 1-402-351-6188. This process is not for resetting passwords for IDs that have been suspended or revoked. For those situations, please contact the Remote Department at 1-866-580-5986:
Providers, Corporate Offices, Third Parties/Clearinghouses
- Must be received on the company letterhead of the office submitting the request.
- Must indicate the name, phone number, and fax number of the person submitting the request.
- Must indicate the name of the person who will be using the additional or re-established Logon ID.
- Must include the provider number, unless the ID is being used by a Corporate Office, Clearinghouse, or Third Party.
- Must indicate the name of the office using the Logon ID.
All requests must also include the following additional information:
Requests for additional Logon IDs
- An Example Logon ID that is being used by the office the request is being submitted for. WPS Medicare IDs are eight digits long and begin with “YM”. The additional ID will have access to the same providers the example ID has access to.
- Indicate whether a User ID is also needed. WPS Medicare User IDs are seven digits long and begin with “MU”.
Requests to re-establish Logon IDs
- The Logon ID that needs to be re-established. WPS Medicare Logon IDs are eight digits long and begin with “YM”. The ID must belong to the office the request is being submitted for.
- If applicable, the User ID that needs to be re-established. WPS Medicare User IDs are seven digits long and begin with “MU”.
Please note: We will either create a new ID or reuse an ID that has been deactivated/suspended, due to inactivity, in order to complete requests for additional Logon IDs. Users must access the Medicare DDE System every thirty days to prevent IDs from being suspended or deleted.
