Comprehensive Error Rate Testing
Have You Wondered about the Results of Your Comprehensive Error Rate Testing (CERT) Review?
If an overpayment occurs during a CERT review, you will receive an overpayment request from the Medicare contractor. If an underpayment occurs, you will receive a remittance advice showing the adjustment amount. If no CERT errors occur, you will receive no notification.
To request additional education or to submit questions regarding your specific CERT findings, please e-mail us at medicareadmin@wpsic.com. Be sure to include "CERT Question" in the subject line, and to include your full name, telephone number, and Provider Identification Number (if available), in the body of the e-mail.
Note: When e-mailing WPS Medicare, please do not include sensitive information. If your question pertains to a specific claim, include the Internal Control Number, not your patient's Medicare Health Insurance Claim Number.
