Alert to C-SNAP Users - May 23, 2008, NPI Implementation May Affect You
Beginning May 23rd, ONLY locations that have an NPI associated with the PTAN will be accessible on C-SNAP. If you do not have a valid NPI, you will be unable to check claim status or eligibility on C-SNAP. For more information on obtaining an NPI, please visit https://nppes.cms.hhs.gov 
Please note that when checking claim status and eligibility, you will now be selecting the appropriate NPI. Also note that access associated to the NPI will be based on the highest level of access you had for any given PTAN associated with the NPI. In other words, if you have standard access for one PTAN, and you have administrative access for another PTAN, and both are under the same NPI, as of May 23rd you will now have administrative access under that NPI.
