Coronary (CTA) Coding Instructions
Effective 01/01/2006, the appropriate codes for billing Coronary CTA are 0146T or 0147T. At this time WPS considers the other new category III codes for cardiac CT studies (0144T, 0145T and 0148T - 0151T) to be Experimental and Investigational (E & I), and therefore, not covered by Medicare.
