Independent Diagnostic Testing Facilities Correction to 42 §CFR 410.33
On April 16, 2007, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services published a notice in the Federal Register entitled, "Revisions to Payment Policies, Five-Year Review of Work Relative Value Units, and Changes to the Practice Expense Methodology Under the Physician Fee Schedule, and Other Changes to Payment under Part B; Correcting Amendment." .
This Correcting Amendment makes the following changes to the Code of Federal Regulations, 42 §CFR 410.33, "Independent diagnostic testing facility":
- Revises §410.33(a)(2), "Exceptions," to exclude certain diagnostic tests from §410.33(g), "Application certifications standards," and §410.33(h), "Failure to meet standards"; and
- Removes language from §410.33(g)(6) that required independent diagnostic testing facilities to list serial numbers on their comprehensive liability insurance policies.
These changes are effective immediately.
