Obtaining Retired Local Coverage Determinations (LCDS)
Providers often ask WPS Medicare where they can obtain a copy of a retired policy.
Retired policies (including previous versions of policies) are housed on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Website, in the Medicare Coverage Database (MCD).
You may access the MCD from WPS Medicare's Policy & Coverage Web page at
http://www.wpsmedicare.com/part_b/policy/index.shtml. At the bottom of the page, we list direct links to retired policies for each state.
