CMS Awards TrustSolutions, LLC the Part A/B Benefit Integrity work for Illinois/Indiana
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has awarded anti-fraud, data analysis, and medical review in support of anti-fraud activities for the states of Illinois and Indiana to TrustSolutions, LLC. This includes both the Medicare Part A and Part B benefits. Transition of the Illinois/Indiana work began on September 1st and will be completed on October 31st for a November 1, 2005 start date. This transition is a result of CMS's continuing efforts to modify and revise its Medicare contractor strategy for jurisdictions throughout the country.
Additionally, CMS has awarded TrustSolutions the Medicare-Medicaid (Medi-Medi) data matching project for the state of Illinois. TrustSolutions will work closely with the Illinois Department of Health and Family Services on this project. Transition of this additional workload began August 15th and will be completed by September 29th, for a September 30th start date.
TrustSolutions is a Medicare Program Safeguard Contractor (PSC) that holds a contract with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to perform certain benefit integrity (BI) activities for the Medicare Program. The addition of Medicare Part A and Part B BI work in Illinois and Indiana to TrustSolutions' current BI work will promote efficient use of resources and effective investigation of Medicare services that will reduce fraud and abuse in the Medicare Program. TrustSolutions' jurisdiction will now include Medicare Part A and Part B in four (4) states, Medicare Part A only in five (5) states, Medicare Part B only in one (1) state, home health/hospice in numerous states and FQHC in 50 states.
A Chicago field office for fraud investigation activity will be opened by TrustSolutions. Menchie Hall has been named the Fraud Investigations Manager for this workload and will be responsible for the fraud investigations staff including the Chicago personnel.
