| WPS Press WPS Names Cooper Senior Vice President, TRICARE Operations Four Directors Promoted to Vice President Madison, WI -- May 14, 2004 WPS Health Insurance (WPS) has named Larry Cooper as Senior Vice President, TRICARE Operations. Cooper will direct all WPS contract responsibilities for TRICARE for Life, Foreign Claims, and the Western Region. Cooper has led WPS TRICARE Operations since joining the Madison-based health insurer in 1987. With more than 36 years of insurance industry experience, Cooper now leads his team of dedicated employees through a transition year of new TRICARE contracts. "Larry's proven track record in successfully heading up TRICARE Operations at WPS makes him the clear choice for this expanded role," said Bill Bathke, WPS Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. "His management skills and experience will be extremely important as our organization faces the responsibility of administering claims for millions of America's military personnel and their families." Cooper announced four other promotions as part of the divisional reorganization strategy to meet the challenges of increased TRICARE growth and responsibility at WPS.
