WPS Health Insurance Announces 2007 Ray Koenig Charitable Foundation
Scholarship Recipients


WPS Health Insurance is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2007 Ray Koenig Charitable Foundation Scholarships for children of employees of WPS and its subsidiaries. Ray Koenig was the first President of WPS. Each scholarship winner receives a $1,000-a-year, four-year grant.

Michelle Brazeau Michelle Brazeau graduated from Sun Prairie High School with a 3.38 grade point average. She will attend the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire where she plans to pursue language studies. Michelle is the daughter of Lisa and Paul Brazeau (WPS Corporate Sales Administration Manager).
Katelyn Hartung Katelyn Hartung, daughter of Gary and Sharon Hartung (Finance Reporting Director, WPS Accounting), graduated from Madison Memorial High School with a 3.86 grade point average. Katelyn will attend the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse where she plans to major in physical therapy.

Lindsey Jobin Lindsey Jobin graduated from Rosemount High School in Rosemount, MN with a 3.71 grade point average. She is the daughter of Lisa and Richard Jobin (Medical Review Manager, WPS Medicare Operations). Lindsey will be attending North Dakota State University where she plans to pursue a pre-pharmacy program.
Shane Roeber Shane Roeber, son of Lynn and Keith Roeber (Enterprise Scheduling and Processing Manager, WPS Information Systems), graduated from Kettle Moraine High School with a 3.92 grade point average. He will be attending Ripon College where he plans to pursue a science major.
Matti Sahel Matti Sahel graduated from Madison East High School with a 3.67 grade point average. He is the son of Heidi and Bouchaib Sahel (Foreign Claims Customer Service Representative, WPS TRICARE Operations). Matti will be attending Grinnell College in Grinnell, IA where he plans to study biology or political science.
Ellyn Subak Ellyn Subak, daughter of Doug and Yvonne Subak (Records Center/Central Stores Supervisor, WPS Office Services), graduated from Madison La Follette High School with a 3.95 grade point average. She will attend the University of Wisconsin – Madison where she plans to major in civil engineering.
Victoria Sviridova Victoria Sviridova graduated from Middleton High School with a 4.0 grade point average. She is the daughter of Yelena Sviridova (Financial Reporting Analyst, WPS Accounting). Victoria will attend the University of Wisconsin – Madison this fall where she plans to major in accounting and international business.
Sean Tollefson Sean Tollefson, son of Mark and Barbara Tollefson (Provider Certification Analyst, WPS TRICARE Operations), graduated from Madison Edgewood High School with a 3.19 grade point average. Sean will attend Herzing College in Madison where he plans to study computer game design.
Justin Wichman Justin Wichman graduated from Menasha High School with a 3.78 grade point average. He is the son of Jeff and Anne Marie Wichman (Database Systems Analyst, Arise Health Plan Information Systems). Justin will attend the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire this fall where he plans to study medicine.
Rachel Williquette Rachel Williquette, daughter of Jim and Teresa Williquette (Grievance Coordinator, Arise Health Plan), graduated from Bayport High School, Green Bay, WI with a 3.18 grade point average. Rachel will attend the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh this fall where she plans to major in sports medicine.

In addition to the children of employees, WPS has awarded Ray Koenig Charitable Foundation Scholarships to one student from each of the following local high schools: La Follette, Madison East, and Monona Grove.

Catherine Albright graduated from Monona Grove High School with a 3.97 grade point average, ranking her in the top 4% of her graduating class. Catherine plans to attend the Lawrence University in Appleton, WI this fall, majoring in chemistry or physics.

Aaron Johnson graduated from Madison La Follette High School with a 3.50 grade point average. He will attend the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire this fall and hopes to major in business and economics.

Shawn McGinnis graduated from Madison East High School. He will attend the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire this fall and thinks someday he may want to become an architect.
